ORILLIA — New Democrats in Simcoe North gathered to nominate Jordi Malcolm to carry the NDP banner in the upcoming provincial election.
“People in Simcoe North deserve a Premier that’s on their side,” said Malcolm. “After seven years of Doug Ford, we’ve been left with overcrowded schools, underfunded hospitals, and a complete lack of affordable homes. With Marit Stiles’ leadership, we can build a province where everyone can afford a good life.”
Jordi has seen the effects of the cost-of-living crisis, conservative cuts to services and corporate greed first-hand. Growing up, her family used services like food banks and she worked full-time on top of high school in order to achieve her goal of attending university. Now that she is there she has a new goal - making life more affordable so that future generations can have it easier.
“I’m thrilled to have Jordi on our team,” said Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles. “Together we’ll build homes, hire doctors, and fix schools to deliver an Ontario full of opportunities.”
